Installing a new roof is a big responsibility. But you can feel great about putting your project into the qualified hands of a certified GAF Master Elite® Roofing Contractor.
Only about 2% of roofing contractors in the U.S. are Master Elite ® contractors. Every GAF Master Elite® Contractor must be insured and licensed in states, province, or territory where the operate (if required). In addition to performance expectations, GAF also considers factors such as years of roofing experience, credit rating, and overall standing with the Better Business Bureau. As a result, more than 90% of property owners surveyed would recommend their GAF Master Elite® Contractor to others.(2)
Contractors enrolled in GAF certification programs are not employees or agents of GAF, and GAF does not control or otherwise supervise these independent businesses. Contractors may receive benefits, such as loyalty rewards points and discounts on marketing tools from GAF for participating in the program. See applicable warranty for eligibility requirements, coverage, and restrictions.
(1) Applies in states/provinces/territories where all roofing contractors are required to be licensed.
(2) Based on a GAF survey of 18,020 property owners served by GAF Master Elite® Contractors from January 2019 to July 2020.
What it takes to earn the GAF Master Elite® Contractor Badge
Every GAF Master Elite® Contractor is trained and tested to GAF requirements, insured, appropriately licensed, has good credit, and is in good standing with the Better Business Bureau.
Only 2% of roofers in North America are invited to become GAF Master Elite® Contractors. That’s right. We cannot apply; we need to be invited.*
Your Connection to the best GAF Warranties
Workmanship coverage is an important differentiator when choosing a residential roof warranty. Standard product warranties often include the labor required to repair or replace a covered component due to a manufacturing defect, but don’t cover mistakes made by the contractor.
GAF entrusts Master Elite® Contractors to offer you their strongest warranties, including certain enhanced warranties that provide workmanship coverage.
